Satisfy your cravings with our delectable baked vegan cake donuts! I made these yummy treats for my hubby who absolutely love donuts! And his favorite are cake donuts so these soft and pillowy bundles of goodness definitely satisfied his sweet tooth craving. Enjoy them for breakfast with a cup of coffee or any time of the day.


Ingredients

3/4 cup Almond Milk

1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar

1/4 cup Coconut Oil

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

1-1/2 cups All Purpose Flour or All Purpose Gluten Free Flour

1/2 cup Granulate Sugar

1-1/2 tsp Baking Powder

1/4 tsp Baking Soda

1/4 tsp Salt


Glaze Ingredients

1 cup Powdered Sugar

2-3 Tablespoons Plant Based Milk

1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

Sprinkles to top the donuts (optional)


Glaze Instructions

Place all the ingredients in a small bowl and mix together until smooth.


Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 F degrees (200 C) and lightly oil a silicone donut pan, place on a baking sheet, set aside.


In a large bowl whisk together the almond milk and apple cider vinegar let sit to curdle, set aside.


Whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt together in a separate bowl.


Add the vanilla and coconut oil to the almond milk bowl and stir until well combined.


Combine the wet and dry ingredients together. Do not over mix, a few lumps are okay. Fill each donut pan cavity about 2/3 with the batter.


Bake for 16-18 minutes or until golden brown. Cool the donuts until warm and dip in the glaze, top with sprinkles.


Note: You can also use a ziplock bag or piping bag to add the batter to the donut cavities in the pan. If using a ziplock bag put the batter in the bag and cut one of the corners of the bag to make a dime size hole.
