Peanut Butter Hummus

This Sweet Peanut Butter Chickpea Hummus combines the creamy richness of peanut butter with the light, nutty flavor of chickpeas for a delectable treat. Naturally sweetened with maple syrup, this dip is a fantastic source of protein and healthy fats. It's perfect for dipping fruit or spreading on whole grain toast.

Ingredients

1 can (15 oz) Chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1/4 cup Peanut Butter (creamy or crunchy)

1/4 cup Honey or Maple Syrup

2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice

1 Tablespoon Tahini

1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

1/4 or 1/2 tsp ground Cinnamon

A pinch of Salt

Water as needed to adjust consistency

Instruction

In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, peanut butter, maple syrup (or honey), lemon juice, tahini, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.

Process until smooth, adding water a tablespoon at a time if needed to reach the desired consistency.

Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding a little more maple syrup or honey.

Serve with fruit slices, graham crackers, or as a spread on toast.
