Linguine with clams in a garlicky white wine sauce makes an easy and elegant Italian pasta dinner.
Ingredients:
1 lb. linguine
3 tbsp. butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup dry white wine
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
2 tbsp. chopped basil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 lb. littleneck clams, scrubbed and cleaned
Instructions:
Cook linguine according to package instructions.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.
Add dry white wine to the skillet and bring to a boil.
Cook for 2-3 minutes or until sauce is slightly reduced.
Add chopped parsley, chopped basil, salt, and pepper to the skillet.
Add cleaned clams to the skillet, cover, and cook for 5-7 minutes or until clams have opened.
Discard any clams that do not open.
Serve linguine with white wine clam sauce and clams on top.
