Chocolate Hummus

Indulge in a guilt-free treat with this creamy Chocolate Chickpea Hummus, where rich cocoa powder meets the smooth texture of chickpeas. This dip offers a delightful balance of sweetness and chocolatey goodness, with the added benefits of antioxidants from cocoa and protein from chickpeas.



Ingredients

1 can (15 oz) Chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1/4 cup Cocoa Powder

1/4 cup Maple Syrup or Agave Syrup

2 Tablespoons Almond Butter or Cashew Butter

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

1/4 tsp ground Cinnamon

A pinch of Salt

Water as needed to adjust consistency


Ingredients

In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, cocoa powder, maple syrup (or agave syrup), almond butter (or cashew butter), vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.


Process until smooth, adding water a tablespoon at a time if needed to achieve the desired texture.


Taste and adjust sweetness or cocoa powder as needed.


Serve with fruit slices, pretzels, or use as a spread.
